Africa's Hardware Revolution

From Spark to Ignition

A free hardware bootcamp at the University of Nigeria, Nsukka — open to students and to anyone else who wants to build. Whatever you study, and whether or not you have ever touched a circuit.

This bootcamp runs at UNN Nsukka. We are coming to other selected universities across South-East Nigeria next — at least one in each state. Register anyway and we will tell you when we reach yours.

Three things, one programme

It is more than a bootcamp

A bootcamp, a hackathon inside it, and a one-day conference a few days later. One registration covers whichever of them you want.

The bootcamp

Hands-on sessions across all eleven tracks at UNN Nsukka. Free, hardware supplied, no prior experience needed.

Free · several days

The hackathon

Runs inside the bootcamp. Teams build against a brief, and there are prizes — we will reveal them shortly.

During the bootcamp

The conference

A one-day hardware technology conference a few days after the bootcamp, with talks and demos. Hackathon winners are announced here.

One day · after the bootcamp

What the bootcamp covers

Eleven tracks, one bootcamp, no fee

You do not need to pick one before you arrive. The programme runs across all of it, and you go deeper on whatever grips you.

Tell us where you are starting from

The last three questions matter most. We read every one of them and shape the sessions around what people actually say — we would rather meet you at your need than teach at you.
